It includes integrated LEDs, photodetectors, optical components, and low-noise electronics that effectively reject ambient light to ensure precise measurements. The MAX30102 heart rate and pulse oximeter sensor module are designed as a complete system solution, making it easy to integrate into mobile and wearable devices. It operates on a single 1.8V power supply, with a separate 3.3V supply for its internal LEDs, and communicates through a standard I2C-compatible interface. The pulse oximeter and heart rate monitor module also feature a software shutdown option that consumes zero standby current, keeping the power rails continuously active.
